What to Expect

-This is a time in your life where you are the most beautiful while you are carrying your unborn child.

-My goal for you is to make this moment last.

-Sessions are normally scheduled between 32 and 36 weeks – where you are at your most comfortable.

-We prefer sessions to be taken place when your new baby is 5 to 10 days old.

-Sessions can be taken in my Sumter SC studio or in the comfort of your own home.

-It is very important to arrive 15 minutes prior to allow time for feedings.

-My studio is very warm for the comfort of the baby because they are photographed unclothed. Your baby is my number one concern.

-Know that your baby will pee and poo during the session. It is perfectly ok, everything is washable. No need to worry!

– Sessions normally run 1 to 3 hours.

-Props are provided, but if there is anything special you wish to bring please do so!

*****After you have booked, sleepy baby tips will be emailed a day before the session to help you have a smooth session.

-These sessions can be done in my Sumter SC studio with several outfit changes, outdoors if you wish, OR lifestyle at your home.

-There will be 2-3 outfits and/or set ups.

-These sessions normally run 45min-1hour OR mini sessions will be shorter.

-Bring snacks or drink for your little one incase they need something.

-If you are expecting, please contact me as soon as possible. I only accept a limited number of births a year because I am fully devoted to your expecting due date.

-Once we have been in contact with one another, we will have a consultation with you and your partner and I will answer all of your questions (I know there will be a lot).

-Birth Photography is a documentation. It is about telling a story – your baby’s story .  Let your support team take care of you while I capture the true intimate moments of one of the biggest days of your life.

Crystal Ruighaver - Hello,

How are you today? My name is Crystal Ruighaver. I am expecting my 5th child on October 7th. Since this is my last child my husband and I want to have newborn pictures taken of our newest little one. I saw that sessions start at $150 for newborns but I was wondering what all is included. How many printed pictures do we get or do we pay for those separately? Do you the ability to print a canvas? Those are just some of my questions. I look forward to hearing from you!

Thank you,
Crystal Ruighaver
